Call for testing KF6-based version of RKWard

We left out the list for a couple of posts. A bit of context for
bystanders: Alfonso reported a crash on one installation of Windows
(inside a virtual machine), while it works on another installation(s).

We've tracked it down to the point, where, the HTML renderer
(QtWebEngine) is initialized.

I think so. That'll just be a symptom of hacking the rkwardrc. Nothing
that would happen in a regular installation / start.

Ok, good. But I suppose, as soon as you bring up any help page, the
crash is still there, right? Also, I don't see anything immediately
suspicious in your environment, unfortunately.

I'm coming back to the idea that an incompatibility in the GPU
virtualization may be the issue, here. Searching the internet, it
looks like that would not be a first. Two approaches to testing this
theory:

a)
Adjust the graphics settings of the virtual machine, turning off any
3D acceleration. Reboot the VM, and see if that makes a difference.

b)
1. Download this file:
https://download.qt.io/development_releases/prebuilt/llvmpipe/windows/opengl32sw-64-mesa_11_2_2-signed_sha256.7z
, unzip, and copy the resulting opengl32sw.dll into c:\program
files\rkward\bin .
2. Then start a command prompt (CMD.exe, not powershell) and enter:
SET QT_OPENGL=software
"C:\Program Files\RKWard\bin\rkward.exe"

Does either approach help?

Thomas
