yes, if you have to do that in R, then most likely it is the same problem in 
RKWard, indeed. Since you won't be able to pass custom command line parameters 
to R, use
   setInternet2 (TRUE)
in the R Console window, after starting, and before accessing the net. If that 
fixes the problem, you can add this to Settings->Configure RKWard->R backend-
>Further commands to run in each session, in order to make it permanent.
