[rkward-users] First preview release of RKWard 0.5.0 (KDE 4)

Hi,

as indicated in the recent announcement of 0.4.9pre1, I'd like to follow up 
0.4.9 with a release of the KDE 4 version of RKWard (0.5.0) quickly. I have 
now prepared a preview of this, available at 
http://rkward.sourceforge.net/temp/rkward-0.5.0pre1.tar.gz .

If you have a KDE 4 installation already, it would be nice if you could give 
this a test-run. With KDE 4's switch to using cmake as the new build-system, 
the installation process has changed for RKWard as well (and the 
source .tar.gz is 50% smaller). Instructions are available in the "INSTALL" 
file in the .tar.gz. The short version is:

Unpack the .tar.gz
Create a temporary directory somewhere, and cd there
Run "cmake /path/to/sources -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$KDEDIR"
Then the usual
# make
# sudo make install

Since the sources have changed quite radically while porting, all testing is 
very welcome.

---- Translators ----

.po and .pot files are provided in the .tar.gz as usual. Before working on 
your translations in detail, you may want to check whether everything seems 
ok with the .po files provided (the message extraction process changed as 
well). Final translations should be submitted by January 18 according to the 
current release plan, but you'll get another note before than.

 ---- Further timeline ----

Depending on the amount of feedback, there may or may not be a second preview 
release of 0.5.0, around January 14. If all goes well, the offical 0.5.0 will 
be released around January 21st.
