 Hi Meik. Thanks for posting back.
I managed to install the necessary packages and render a test QMD file inside RKWard using the R shell command. I'm using Windows 10 and I think it can be done with no problems. 
I will make a draft on a book structure and then i return here to share.

How can i help? Thought about documentation lika a quarto book...

having documentation in a book could indeed be very helpful. perhaps it could 
later be integrated into the documentation section of the dashboard as 
browsable HTML pages, and also be downloadable in PDF format.

RKWard already supports markdown with live preview, this project could also 
lead to perhaps better integration of quarto into RKWard?
