[this is already solved by thomas adding rk.home("lib") to rkward, so this
mail is just for the record. i wasn't able to send it yesterday]

hi,

i noticed an interesting new problem, now that i finally switched to R 4.0 and
have to re-install all packages.

now that the rkward package is installed to an RKWard specific location (like
~/.rkward/.rkward_packages/400), it became harder to build and install RKWard
plugin packages, at least if that includes calls to build routines that run
outside the scope of a running RKWard session. within a running session, the
package is found and it's version number can be evaluated. but since plugin
packages use the rkward package to determine whether their requirements are
met, you must add the RKWard specific library to an outside environment in
which the package is to be compiled.

it is easy to add custom libraries to a build call so it will be searched for
required packages. however, the said library path looks like a moving target,
given it includes a version number.

is there already a dedicated environment variable or R function to get exactly
this specific library location? .libPaths() returns all libraries, but i am
looking for only the RKWard package location. somehing like a .libPathRKWard()
or .rk.libPath() function.
