As for the spellchecker (and the trashbin), I'll need to investigate that.

The markdown preview is expected to be slow, esp. on larger documents. Not a
whole lot that we can do about this. However, you can try turning off the
"Update as you type"-option (accessible from the "Preview"-button). With the
option off, the preview will update every time you save, only.
