RK() API error

hi,

the current daily builds for CRAN R can't produce plots at the moment -- RK() 
complains about an API mismatch. RKWard was build against R 3.2.4, recent CRAN 
is 3.3.0. i assume this is the reason for RK() quitting on me ATM, right?

is this intentional (i remember a git commit a while ago that made version 
checking more strict)? at least, the error message could be a bit more 
verbose, explaining what actually goes wrong, so users can do something about 
it without the need for help from us.
