Hi,

I have no idea to be honest. Fetching still works (from MP mirrors?) and I see that Ubuntu has an apparently older version (20050907).
The best you could do barring real usage statistics is to do a poll on macports-users, but those tend not to work very well.

Alternatively, bump the port revision and have it print a big fat deprecation warning when users to a selfupdate. If no one notices that or bothers to request the port's continued existence you can probably retire it safely.

BTW, I did find 2 alternatives in the Ubunto repos: pdfposter and posterazor. The former is already in MacPorts, and apparently improves on poster.
