indeed. I have just re-uploaded 0.6.1 for raring, so a build suitable for R 
3.0.0 should be available, shortly:
  https://launchpad.net/~rkward-devel/+archive/rkward-stable-cran
The other Ubuntu series will have to wait until R 3.0.0 is available in a PPA 
(Michael Rutter was planning for a roll-out in early May, i.e. any day, now).
