btw., i would recommend to rename the "include dependecies" checkbox in the R 
package management dialog into "install suggested packages" and have it 
unchecked by default.

if you look at ?install.packages, you will see that the default setting NA 
already includes "Depends", and setting it to TRUE will only add "Suggests" to 
the default.

i always found this option confusing.
