Oh well, I was just trying to be faithful to the old plugin. There was no 
option for "autores" in the old export plugin. The user had to choose a 
specific resolution, though it was initialised to 72.

I agree, and I'll try to keep that in mind for future plugins.

In that case some finer changes to filename and menu entries will need to be 
done.. Specifically, when export.{php,rkh,xml} get removed, export_new.
{php,xml,rkh} will have to be renamed to export.{php,xml,rkh}. Also the 
filenames in <code> and <help> element of export_new.xml will need to be 
changed. And then, in the plots.pluginmap (or under_development.pluginmap) we 
can just remove the entries realted to export_new. The old entries of export 
will take care of the new ones. I am sure you will take of these 
technicalities.
