it seems, apt is trying to fetch the wrong .deb. In 
http://rkward.sourceforge.net/debian/ is the binary for testing/unstable. 
The .deb for sarge is in http://rkward.sourceforge.net/debian/sarge. Assuming 
you want to install the sarge backport, the line you need 
in /etc/apt/sources.list is:

deb http://rkward.sourceforge.net/debian/sarge ./

Could you try, whether that works for you?
