it's
initial="text"
the other allowed attributes are:
id (as usual)
label (obvious)
size ("small", "medium", or "large", where large is a multi-line input field. 
I suppose medium and small will be unified some day (and the field will 
simply be expanding); if you don't need a multi-line field, it's best to omit 
this attribute).
Will add this to the docs after the weekend.
