[RkWard-devel] Current state of development

Hi all!

The list is quiet these days, but many things are going on behind the
scene. I thought you people should be informed of the current state of
the development of rkward.

1) Adrien has been working on the plugins. New widgets were added, and
some cool plugins were developed.
2) The interface has been reworked. We are now a bit more KDE-HIG
complient. Kparts are used properly, and when the active tab changes,
menus change accordingly. This is in cvs. Work continues to make the
interface easier to get into.
3) The spanish and french translations have been updated.
4) We are having some problems with the R backend. Some commands make
it crash. We are currently working on this problem.

We think that a binary release of RKWard could occur (wirth rpm and
deb packages) when the soft is more stable: the current version is too
crash-prone.

PS: if you try the cvs version, please make sure you install it (make
install), or it won't work.
