Krita 4.4.0 and SeExpr

I suppose this might also be answered in the talk later on, but I'm curious 
about the state of the relation with that project. Is it a fork (which is 
still somewhat compatible with the original) and/or will the future 
maintenance and development done by KDE and on its infra?
