Two patches for KDE/4.14

Dear release team,
I have two open review which (if approved) I would like to push to KDE/4.14
(then merged to master, and forward-ported to Frameworks). I think they can
count as bugfixes, so acceptable for that branch despite the deep frozen state
of kdelibs, but could you please evaluate them?
