He didn't announce them (we will do that tomorrow, once all the verification 
is done). He was asking for help in making sure the tarballs are OK. Release 
management is a lot of work, it can't be done by just one hand. By making the 
location of these work-in-progress tarballs known, we can spread this work and 
achieve better quality results.
