Calling off Beta1

Kubuntu is not quite so far along, but we have invested considerable work on packaging the beta.  I don't see needing a soprano snapshot as a major issue. Cancelling the release seems like overkill.

Why cancel instead of just telling people the need to update to soprano from git?
