Weird, with the stable release of Strigi you can confirm the issue as well as 
the error pops-up before the strigi error:

Anyway as i am kde trasnlator, form the Catalan translation team and i know 
the process, being made the tarballs from trunk i really think you should not 
include the docs in the tarballs due to the docs translation process 
complexity, adding the GUI translations should be enough for a beta release.
