no, versioning the library should hopefully do that (which was done a while
back)
what this will do is allow people to are things like:
* write code with #ifdef's, so it compiles against both new and old libplasma
* transmit the libplasma version over the network when we're doing JOLIE type
things, such as brokering services or sending plasmoids around
