I've chatted with Matt on IRC, and the concerns have been addressed.
That means that we've settled on the above (rough) proposal. As I said, I'll
work out those details as soon as I find some spare minutes and we can apply
some final tweaking to it.
We will go ahead and tell people what we're planning. Thanks everybody for the
input, support, criticism.
