we'd have to go for a 3 month, 6 month or a 12 month release cycle, or just
live with the fact that we're not gonna make everyone happy all the time. I
would support a 6 month cycle. It is just deciding now if 4.1 should be on a
3 month schedule to be aligned, or a 9 month schedule. Or if we ignore anyone
and just schedule on 6 months, knowing that we're perfectly disaligned then.

However, it looks like fedora, mandriva, ubuntu are aligning on a 6 month
schedule, roughly around the same month even. opensuse seems to be the
exception, where they struggle with their SLE releases inbetween. From my
personal feeling, I think a 6 month schedule could benefit KDE, given that we
have many students contributing. As an example :)

Greetings,
Dirk
