Ok, so what about our expectations as developers? What do we think a
beta should be? Have we met our own expectations?

I also think that we should take a harder look at what our users will
expect from KDE 4.0 and the hole we've dug ourselves into. To be
honest, I think we've bit off more than we can chew for KDE 4.0. We
understand that KDE 4 is more than just KDE 4.0, but our users
probably don't. If we don't at least look to see if what's being left
out is acceptable and that we're ok with what we're doing, then we're
doing ourselves a disservice.

However, as developers, if we're ok with what we're doing, then let's
go for it.

Just my two cents as a developer user who wouldn't run a KDE 4.0 beta
desktop on a daily basis.
