On that basis; I think that kdeprint is still in alpha quality (and I 
don't see it getting any love).

For example if I print *anything* after doing a 
myPrinter.setOutputFormat(QPrinter::PdfFormat);
I get the following dialog, which AFAICT shows something seriously wrong 
internally. Namely that it needs a lot of work to indicate there are now 
2 source formats (pdf as well as postscript) instead of assuming that the 
input is postscript.
