While you're 100% right, it's only indirectly related to the discussion 
whether rekonq should use the System Settings config for its defaults.
IMO it's the responsibility of the KDE SC distributors to choose sane defaults 
for System Settings which are indeed (at least IMHO) the Liberation fonts.
