Might it be better to have some sort of generic translation layer,
that can then use plug-ins to tie into various translation apis?  Even
if only google is being used right now, it would be easier to make a
more flexible system up-front then re-do everything from scratch when
someone want to implement a different translation api.  Ideally
something scripted so they can be distributed via GHNS.
