Making Calls on Plasma Mobile

Hello,

I am wanting to install Plasma Mobile to my Nexus 5x and use it as my daily phone.  I just wanted to make sure that I can do basic functions on it like make and receive calls through the cellular network.  I am looking at using Verizon.  Will that work?
