  I would like this, especially if we put it inside an attractive circular background or something, like the notification badges. Feels like we could use another emblem icon for this, maybe?
  
  +1 for the concept too since this is now something that web browser tabs have, so "click on the audio playing icon to mute it" is a pretty common interaction metaphor nowadays.
