Same problem here with 
- Kubuntu 18.04 
- KDE Frameworks 5.44
- KDE Plasma 5.12.6
- Kernel 4.15.0-34-generic
- UPower is at version 0.99.7.

Reproducible: Almost always

Steps to reproduce:
1. After logon, unplug and plug the battery.
2. Close session and login again.
3. Battery is showed by plasmoid and detected by UPower.

*Sometimes battery is detected before the session is closed.

If I can reproduce this behaviour it would be useful
to find the logs of this activity, but I don't know where to look.

*On x.sessionerrors it's shown only one "Unable to assign [undefined] to int"
error.
