  Regarding this, I'd probably add a "Default" entry that is pre-selected when no cursor theme is set in the config, and would not write a gtk-cursor-theme-name line when saving.
  Although the latter part may still cause surprises if a cursor theme is specified in the system-wide gtk config... :-/
