Baloo and remote file systems

Hi,

I moved some of my data on a file server. As far as I understand, baloo only 
indexes local files, I assume it relies on inotify or something similar to 
avoid periodic full scans.

Can anybody tell if it is possible to run baloo on a remote file system, also 
running a baloo client on the file server would be possible.
