Support transparent panels in Plasma 5.9 ?

Hello,

do you know if it will be possible for a panel to become transparent in 
Plasma 5.9 (to not draw its background)? We had a discussion with David 
in the past for this but I can not find it.


I can also help around this if someone wants to guide me..
