That's wrong, among other reasons because it's a view limited to the
status quo.

Input macro recorders/editors have fairly large userbase on competing
systems (e.g. enthusiast gamers on Windows, who easily outnumber Plasma
users) who don't know how to do this without a GUI. There's a proven
audience for that kind of functionality.

Which doesn't matter much when we have nobody caring to provide it, of
course.
