one thing that would make sense is hiding when there is no page title (and not 
in widescreen mode)
a second thing that i have to get around to implement is making it possible to 
set either a different header item altogether or setting a null one if the 
application doesn't want to use it.

about other controls in the headers, the vdg prefers not having much there, as 
the aim of the design is to ba as usable as possible with a single hand (so 
preferring controls located on the bottom, rather than on the top of the 
screen)
