Kwin's complexity is understandable. But I suppose that it can still be boiled
down to:
1. Something that renders (engine part)
2. Something that is being rendered (theme data part)
Is that correct, or am I completely misunderstanding Kwin's take on theming?

If path to the data is predetermined anyway, why there would be slower or more
numerous lookups? Would that be caused by additional lookups in $XDG_DATA_HOME
or ~/.themes? Is that what you mean?
