The theme of the mouse cursor partially fails after logging in for the first
time with a new user account (i.e. no configuration, empty home directory). In
particular the cursor for resizing a window fails and is replaced with some
default X cursor (see attached screenshot).

It works fine after switching to a different cursor style and back to the
initial one.
