Plasma BoF 27-7-2015

- Qt 5.5
    - Plasma 5.4 does not depend on 5.5, but we support / fix bugs with Qt 5.5
    - we recommend Qt 5.4
    - seems all happy, but let's look out for bugs


- Changelog for Plasma 5.4
    - we recommend Qt 5.5, multiscreen is much better with it
    - improved high dpi support (should complete high dpi support)
    - to merge Dave's slider
    - touch improvements (in task manager for example)
    - memory improvements (script engine stuff)
    - Easier clock setup for 24 hour mode
    - calendar navigation improvements
    - plasma-volume-control
    - new Xapian-replacement backend for Baloo (check with Vishesh)
    - sticky notes with drag and drop support, keyboard nav
    - trash applet now works again with drag and drop
    - system tray has more options (show all, faster and more efficient, more 
reliable)
    - improved wallpaper rendering
    - Wayland tech preview (complete Plasma wayland session), driven by phone 
feature set
    - plus stuff that comes up on the ML
    - shit-ton more breeze icons
    - improved documentation

- plasma-volume-control
    - needs final review / moving to kde/workspace -> poke Harald
    - make sure shortcuts are working (Harald)
    - ship .desktop file to not autostart replace kmix (Dave)
    - check i18n (sebas)

- high dpi: we want to investigate dpi validation heuristics

- Plasma 5.5 planning
    - holiday and PIM integration
    - review / merge phone repos into kde/workspace (only workspacey parts, 
other things should go into frameworks or apps)
    - merge davetray (turns xembed systray stuff into statusnotifiers, makes 
it work also on wayland)
    - more granularity for kauthorized / kiosk checks
    - Wayland improvements:
        - screen configuration for wayland changes
        - kwin QPA
        - get moving of windows fixed
        - popup positions
        - move screenlocker into kwin
        - hard-depend on libwayland
    - touchpad KCM rewrite

    - CPU usage in plotter component #348385 and #346134
    - systray to activate individual entries #350610 (probably too invasive 
for 5.4 -> push to 5.5)
    - solid crashed plasmashell #346517
    - keyboard shortcuts and i18n clas #309193
