the dialog window doesn't take preferredsizes into account, since don't make much semantic sense in that case: a change of preferred size shouldn't cause a spontaneous resize (unlike min and max in the case the old size is outside of the new bounds) but at most to be used as an initial default.
for this, QWidget had fixedSize, but hasn't been kept in qml layouts, as is just a min==max after all.
