2th february 2015:
David:
- bugfixes for 5.2
- investigated a crash in kwin settings that triggers a weird qt bug
- fixed mouse kcm
Kai Uwe:
- powerdevil fixes
- fixed kded5 cpu eating bug
- fixed some suspension issues (don't suspend when closong lid, shutting down)
- icon chooser component in review
- little fix for Notifications
Martin G was at FOSDEM: cross-desktop Wayland meeting:
- systray, notifications, no xembed for wayland enlightenment->
statusnotificer
- gnome->persistent notifications extension, they don't want user interacting
with systray
- we might have problems with qsystemtrayitem if gnome doesn't support it
- global hotkeys: applications no global shortcuts for gnome, we probably want
to do the same
- screenshot/screencasting: protocol with kdbus to stream the screen
- encoding by an application not by the compositor to protect from crash
- used for remote access as well, probably linux only
- support for changing the icon in task manager: probably not supported (this
may be done with static notifications)
- color picker api: compositor does color picking
- key grabbing: like virtual machines and games how to do without compromise
security: an application has to specify a magic key to go out of grab (like
virtualbox)
- Client side decorations: enlightenment may want ssd as well, they will take
a look about xdg shell spec as well
Aleix:
- debugging muon: worked on different kind of bugs that happen on different
distrubutions
- distros should report problems in it a bt more
- done a good integration work with Arch and Manjaro
- needs more work on fedora (startup problems)
- 5.2.1 has already different fixes committed
Marco:
- bugfixes
- added option for plaintext plasmoid tooltips
- layout in reverse mode for kickoff and tabbars
- some tooltip fixes, less dancing and more compact when no icon
- investigating a problem in unndo function for flexible applets in panels,
like task manager
