Should touch events update the cursor position?

Hi,

I find it distracting to have the highly-visible cursor follow my finger all
the time.

What Windows 8 does - and I have to admit, that thing might suck on a Desktop
but the touch hybrid stuff is quite well thought out - it hides the mouse
cursor when touch interaction happens and shows a subtle glow where your
finger tapped (or a subtle line when you're doing drag and gesture stuff) and
brings the cursor back as soon as you touch the mouse again.

The cursor, however, does move with your touch event and when you're finished
with touching, your mouse continues from where you left your finger instead of
where you left it before touch. I find that quite intuitive to use. (though
that might be annoying for multi-head setups where one is a touchscreen, eg. a
secondary info screen with touch for whatever reason, and then you look
something up on the touch screen and need to move the mouse over to continue
working)

Cheers,
Kai Uwe
