I agree.
A solution would be to add a cmake option to explicitly enable such
dependencies. Something like -DENABLE_EXPERIMENTAL_WAYLAND=ON.

This way it won't happen that in 2 years somebody will try to compile
Plasma Framework 5.5 and have things slightly working but not really.
