I'm not sure about this. I do think that control of when to trigger e.g. dpms and dimming should shift from powerdevil to screenlocker (leaving the mechanism in powerdevil) but this seems a strange place to start.

If this is a companion to https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/108375/ (but for the simple locker) then what about just dismissing the unlock dialog on Escape? This is what the old screensaver did if I read correctly. In fact, is that an approach that works for all varieties of locker?
