He meant kded.

The generic way of creating small daemons in KDE workspace is doing it as a 
"KDED Module". A kded basically is a small library that gets loaded by a 
process (kded) instead of being executed in a standalone process. Doing that 
we can save some memory and unify our services.

For example, in the bluetooth case if the user starts the computer without an 
adapter, the kded will stay "listening" for new adapters, and in case that one 
gets plugged it will activate the bluetooth integration.
