until we get our unicorm rainbow ponies, is there a good reason not to ship 
this so as to prevent what can only be described as a bug? workarounds suck 
and are not the optimal solution, but this is an evident and long(ish)-
standing issue with a simple solution that can be removed when the appropriate 
fix is made.
