Btw. most of the funny aspects of conky can probably be "fixed" either with a 
window specific rule or with a kwin script (could be a nice example case for 
it). That said, there is nothing we (plasma and/or kwin) can do about it. It's 
conky that is buggy and therefore conky needs to be fixed.
