Thumbnail buttons and actions

Does the spec have hints for locations, the ability to pass sets of
significant-sized pixmaps with the ability to click on them,
categories the tool displaying them can use as cues, and the other
parts necessary to display, organize, and format the buttons around
the edge of a 2D block?
