Might this be something that could be done in nepomuk, providing the
information more generally to KDE (perhaps via kio)?  Or done directly
in a kio slave?  Then the nepomuk store or kio slave could be queried
both by the runner and by the dataengine, as well as providing it to
other applications that may want it like konqueror or rekonq.  This
would allow KDE-based web browser to access the favorites of other
browsers directly.
