that could be something that is also done, but would be something in kwin. 
(though we now hve that feature in the pager as well ... it should be 
consistent with whatever kwin does.)

beyond that, however, PVD means virtual desktop == containment, so if a VD is 
removed, the containment ought to be as well. another PVD oddness.
