I think the issue is the folloing:
that commit was made because an old Qt bug as fixed, i.e. the propagation of 
the palette to proxy widget, 
but
this works prfectly propacating the *system* colors
plasma doesn't use the system color scheme, so a manual sync with Thmeme 
should still be needed
