thank you for the post! it really shows some good points there. and yes imo it 
can be adapted in plasma. 
another example for this flaw is lancelot, imo. i love this menu, but it has 
some of the issues as shown in that blog post.

e.g. the second screenshot shows the narrow buttons, but the buttons are too 
big and thw font is too small and also, the button is too small to show the 
whole label (e.g. computer, contact etc.)

imo, you should also show your post in kde-usability
